Job Summary:
The primary job function will entail the validation, review , failure analysis and repair of field returns from the customers.
Responsibilities:
· Evaluate customer complaint and perform necessary repairs and identify next steps for root cause analysis.
· Prepare all necessary documentation for a given RMA.
· Perform all full functional tests for the board to validate repairs.
· Coordinate with technical support as needed to further validate field returns when no problem is identified.
· Provide engineering support on any engineering projects as deemed necessary.
· Perform rework instruction to any products as required.
· Identify and maintain list of components necessary to repair boards.
Job Requirements/ Education:
· Minimum: Associate Degree in Electronics Technology.
· At least 2 to 3 years in the field of doing Failure Analysis of Printed circuit boards.
· Exposure to multi-layer PCBA repair is a must.
· Excellent solder skills of SMT devices required.
· Soldering and the removal of soldered SMT devices especially fine pitch leads.
· Proficient in the use of failure analysis instruments such as multi-meter, oscilloscopes
· Ability to interpret schematic diagrams.
· Proficient with DOS, Microsoft Windows OS platforms and Microsoft Office.
· Preferably familiar with IPC Standards on Printed Circuit Assembly.
