Basic Job Function:
· Develop and maintain the technical documentation for Ai-Logix products.
Responsibilities:
· Document product requirements, specifications, and instructions
· Maintain all project documentation
· Implement and maintain a reference library of technical papers and presentations
· Work independently on documents under strict deadlines.
· Work directly with development engineers
· Proofread and edit technical documentation and marketing literature
· Work on multiple projects simultaneously
Skills:
· Excellent command of the English language, written and verbal
· Thorough understanding of technical communications concepts
· Demonstrated experience writing product requirements, specifications, and user manuals
Software Skills:
· Microsoft Office 2000 (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
· Drawing tools (e.g., Visio)
· Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
· FrameMaker
· Quark Express
· Internet Tools such as Dreamweaver a plus
Technical Skills:
· Knowledge of C++
· Knowledge of software engineering disciplines
· Knowledge of hardware engineering disciplines
· Familiarity with Computer Telephony Hardware a plus
Experience Requirements and Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline, or Communications
· 2 years experience as a technical writer in the telecommunications industry a plus
