Summary of duties and responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain specific test applications to validate the test software with respect to product. Responsible for the development of test plans using the product specifications and standards. Develop and enhance functional test tools on printed circuit assembly boards. Responsible for overall test engineering functions related to manufacturing/functional test set-up of assembled printed circuit boards.
Essential/Primary duties and responsibilities
· Perform a failure analysis and repair of boards that failed full functional test and provide reports with regards to the failure.
· Support Return Material Authorization Group through failure analysis and repair of boards that failed in the field.
· Perform a Quality Control Function in relation to the testing of the boards.
· Initiate Corrective Action Report in coordination with the subcontractors.
· Perform an engineering discipline in terms of yield improvement of boards.
· Provide a mechanical drawing to Documents Control using an Auto Cad such as brackets, labels, etc.
· Will conduct training support to the engineering group of the subcontractors to enhance the debugging and technical skills of subcontractors' engineers.
· Support the Manufacturing Engineering group to set up tests of all the new products for subcontractors.
· Document the rework of product and other special assembly and test instructions to ensure compliance by the subcontractors.
· Document a troubleshooting guide of different product lines.
Education and Prior Work Experience · Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent.
· At least 3 years experience doing testing and Quality Assurance for electronics including use of C/C++, programmable logic control, PCB testers, PAL/PAD. Experience in writing test plans/scripts, QA metrics, preparing failure analysis reports, knowledge of QA methods, strong communication skills.
