Summary of duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and coordinating with channel partners in further developing business opportunities. Ensures that sales and marketing plans and policies are well executed through all levels of channel operations. Develops new channel partners and alliances, and continues ongoing and professional relationships which support the Company’s strategic direction. Participates in meetings as assigned and keeps Senior Management well informed of area activities and significant problems. Travel for this position is approximately 40-50%. The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for all channel management activities.

Duties Include:
· Assumes responsibility for the planning and development of effective channel strategies and policies.
· · Researches market and industry data and plans strategies to expand business opportunities.
· · Monitors product performance across geographical, customer, and distribution lines. Develops specific action plans to improve channel operations.
· · Researches and reviews third party performance and pursues strategic alliances that further sales opportunities.
· · Attends committee meetings as assigned.
· · Ensures that channel management plans, goals, and polices are consistent with established Company-wide goals.

· Assumes responsibility for effectively implementing Channel Management strategic plans.
· · Ensures that sales and marketing projects are effectively implemented at all levels of channel operations.
· · Maintains ongoing relationships with channel partners which are beneficial in expanding the distribution of products and services.
· · Analyzes performance of business partners and renews or cancels contracts as appropriate.
· · Networks with trade contacts, professional organizations, and external sources to further develop channel partners and growth opportunities.
· · Tracks margins, analyzes returns, and monitors the financial performance of business partners. Recommends adjustments in channel operations.
· · Oversees daily operations and ensures that activities are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards. Makes recommendations for improved operations as appropriate.
· · Submits accurate, timely, and complete reports to Senior Management as scheduled.

· Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional relations with business partners, third party alliances, and trade contacts.
· · Maintains professional relations with business partners and channel contacts. Monitors contract service and support, and ensures excellence at all levels.
· · Ensures that business partners are well informed of sales and marketing activities. Distributes operational reports, statistical data, and performance information to provide regular updates.
· · Tracks and resolves problems promptly. Ensures that involved parties are satisfied with conflict resolutions.
· · Promotes goodwill and a positive image of the Company.

· Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.
· · Works closely with sales personnel. Provides specific feedback and suggestions for improving support of channel operations.
· · Coordinates channel operations with related departments including accounting, shipping, and marketing areas.
· · Assists area personnel as needed.
· · Interprets and explains Channel Management policies and strategies to area personnel.
· · Keeps management well informed of area activities and significant problems.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
· Strong knowledge of channel development strategies.
· Knowledge of the industry and potential business partners.
· Thorough understanding of the sales and marketing field.
· Minimum four or more years of related sales and development experience.
· Excellent public relations and negotiation skills.
· Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects.
· Strong oral and written communications abilities.
· Solid analytical and technical skills.
· Demonstrated experience and success in selling complex solutions is required.
· Preferred background in Telecom and enabling technology sales
· Competitive desire to succeed
